high gloss white fibreglass doors

technical details

High gloss white fibreglass doors come in many design, due to the method of construction which is to mould the door rather than to press into a shape, these doors have the greatest attention to detail. The doors come with a clear gel coat which give a very high gloss definition.

Available in 3 qualities of fibreglass. Lightweight doors are constructed from the fibreglass panel, which then has a steel bracing applied to the back of the door. Sometime only available in standard sizes, but also from Wessex Mouldings at non standard sizes. Suitable for many applications but not recommended for high wind area or heavy use.

medium duty doors

Medium duty doors have the same face panel, but have layers of fibreglass over the steel bracing to increase the strength of the door panel.

heavy duty doors

Heavy duty doors also have the same face panel, and have even more of the extra layers of fibreglass over the steel bracing and have a smooth flow coating over the back of the door panel.

door sizes

Doors can be made in many sizes from 5'2" wide up to 20ft wide and up to 8ft high as an up and over dependant on the design of the door.

GEAR

See page on gears and locking. All high gloss white fibreglass doors are available with canopy or retractable lifting gear. Doors can be supplied unframed to fit to a timber frame or with a steel frame, Steel framed doors have the lifting gear fitted to the frame in effect this means that to fit, you only have to bolt this frame square into the opening.

HINGED DOORS

Hinged doors are available in many of the designs show, but they do have a restriction above 8ft wide due to the weight of the door hanging off the hinges, some doors are available over this width.

LOCKING

See page on gears and locking. Most high gloss white fibreglass doors have 3 point locking on canopy doors, Most tracked doors have 2 point. High security Euro profile locking is standard on both canopy and tracked doors with the exception of Wessex Mouldings.

SIZES of DOORS and FRAMES

Doors can be supplied at a standard size or at any made to measure size, in general the frame should measure 70mm x 70mm, and the lifting gear fits to the back of the frame, also allow 70mm for the top or head of the frame. Frame can be fitted within the brickwork opening, or if possible, sometimes may fit at the back of the opening
